Grammy’s fashions

Lady Gaga, Rita Ora, and Katy Perry shined under the spotlight and shimmered in silvery hues. A sexy take on “Old Hollywood” is certainly a departure from the usual antics of Lady Gaga. (Who can possibly forget about that time she arrived in an egg in 2011?)

Gaga rocked a gorgeous Brandon Maxwell gown, channeling her inner “Jessica Rabbit” with an up-to-there side slit. Surprising us all without her signature red pout, Rita Ora lit up the room with a glitzy disco-ball inspired gown. Oozing with glamour, lavender-haired Katy Perry shined bright like a diamond in a flirty Zuhair Murad dress.

What’s another Grammy’s without a little skin? This year, everyone from up and comers like Zendaya Coleman to pop princesses like Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande opted for bold cut-outs.

Zendaya went all out, debuting her edgy pixie haircut and a fun 70’s-inspired dress with funky colors and an asymmetrical cut. Taylor Swift looked elegant as ever in a custom teal Elie Saab dress with peekaboo cutout detailing.

“Bang Bang into the Room” and entered Ariana Grande, looking fabulous in a white Versace gown with silver chain accents. It comes as no surprise that Nicki Minaj and Kim Kardashian chose little to the imagination, plunging necklines for this season.

Always on point, Gwen Stefani looked fresh in a custom Atelier Versace jumpsuit, gushing over the one-piece as “artwork.” Whether you think she looked like Cinderella or got eaten by a loofah, Rhianna looked pretty in pink with a Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress.

She smiled and twirled in a two-tiered dress of layered pink taffeta.. Known for her avant-garde tactics, singer Sia and 12-year-old dancer Maddie Ziegler played dress up in muted black and white tuxedos.

Leave it to the queen herself, Madonna, to shock and awe us all. Wrapping up the evening, Madonna donned a dramatic matador costume with a fitted corset, fishnets and leather thigh highs.
