halle-barry-espy-dress-featuredFrom gowns to sexy one pieces featuring peek-a-boo cutouts to a groovy, 70’s inspired leather dress, this year’s ESPY Awards embraced the perfect power looks to take on the evening. For those not in the know, the ESPY, known as an “Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award” ceremony took place on July 15, 2015 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Effortless and chic, Halle Berry stunned in a leather shift dress with sheer cutouts. The funky bell sleeves keep this dress totally in line with the seventies trend, while her tousled waves and silver jewelry make this look boho chic.

Women’s MMA champion Ronda Rousey shined in a black and white body-con dress, highlighting every curve of her fit figure. Featuring mesh sleeves and a revealing keyhole at Rousey took home the ESPY “Best Fighter” Award and took a quick jab at Floyd Mayweather, Jr, who is notorious for his history of domestic violence. “I wonder how he feels being beat by a woman for once,” she noted drily, flashing her infectious smile. With another upcoming fight on the agenda, Rousey nailed her red carpet look with her two toned, form-fitting dress.

Looking leggy, singer Ciara rocked the red carpet in an Eli Saab Fall 2014 gown. We love the couple’s matching colors, Ciara paired her berry-colored leather belt to Russell Wilson’s plum colored suit. In similar fashion, Lindsey Vonn channeled her inner dancer emoji with high-slit dress. With all eyes on her, Vonn kept things pretty with chandelier earrings, strappy heels and matching clutch.

Gemstone accents have been on the trend radar for awhile now, sprouting more and more frequently. US Soccer player Sydney Leroux killed it with a black two piece, complete with an embellished crop top and midi skirt. Kendall and Kylie Jenner took to the trend, with Kylie going for a glitzy vibe in a floor-length, sparkling Shady Zeineldine dress. Kendall looked radiant in a sheer maxi from Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2015 Couture line, with subtle rhinestones in shades of black. Swimsuit model Hannah Davis was the belle of the ball in a glimmering silver mini with three-quarter length sleeves. Whether you love retro leather looks to subtle yet sexy cut-out detailing, there’s bound to be a trend for you to play with this season!
