When it comes to edgy fashion choices, Solange is known for staying ahead of the game. The 31-year-old singer donned a wow-worthy latex look, complete with futuristic accents and bold details. Solange certainly had all eyes on her when attending the recent Met Gala in May.
In preparation for the event, Solange decided to ask her fans for some feedback on what to wear. On Twitter, the singer posted five different options, including some of her favorite outfit choices. “‘dead a** about to let y’all pick my met gala look cuz i can’t handle the anxiety rn… which saint shall I draw energy from and pull up to the function as?”, Solange wrote to her fans in a Tweet. At the end of the poll, Solange selected the winner, which was a black latex dress from Iris van Herpen’s Couture collection from Fall 2012.
With strong architectural details, the dress featured a strapless design and a voluminous skirt. To keep her look modern and fresh, Solange paired her dress with matching latex stockings and black heels. For a fresh twist, Solange turned to celebrity hair guru, Jawara, who helped get her red carpet ready.
