PETA embraces pleather fabric

jenna jameson peta pleather fabricPETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) is known for their controversial ways of garnering media attention.  One of their recent ploys involves using Jenna Jamison, a well known retired adult actress, to pose in lingerie and what appears to be a latex bra with the message “Pleather yourself”.

While we don’t necessarily endorse PETA’s methods, we do espouse the virtues of faux leather fabric.  Technology has brought us to the point where we can produce fabrics that are better than that found in nature.

Pleather is cheaper, in many cases more durable, and hard to differentiate from leather material.  Plus if you are vegan, vegatarian, or agree with PETA in their views on the use of animals hides as fabrics, you can take the moral high road by using faux leather 🙂

Below is an another ad from PETA featuring Alica Silverstone wearing a faux leather biker hat and stitched pleather tank top.
